What did you want to be when you were young?
I wanted to own a hotel like those you see along orchard road or be in the army.
Why do you do what you do?
I have never been good with studying and I always wanted to own a business or create something since young and believed that is the way to actually be successful in my own way, and when the opportunity came I grabbed it.
Why did you choose to take up Entrepreneurship instead of a Full-Time job?
The thought of being able to financially free in the future is worth the amount of hardship I am going to face now, and I feel that I was never able to fully be creative or approach a matter as I would like to if I was to be working for another company. Don’t get me wrong, being an entrepreneur doesn’t guarantee you a financially free future but it gives you a chance, and that chance is what I am willing to take.
What led you here? How did you discover your passion?
It was through a failure of my first business idea and that was how I met my business partner while working for him at another company. After failing at the first project we had together we realise we have the skills and knowledge to recreate what we had for other people and most importantly we had the same mindset about approaching a problem and decided to work together
How did you realise this work you do is something you are good at and that the market will benefit from your product/service?
What I am doing has actually been around in the market for a pretty long time. However, what we are doing is just making it affordable for the SMEs and help them grow with the necessary services that they require. We are looking for long-term customers, not short term.
Would you say this job is something you pursue as a part of your passion?
Yes and No. This job definitely fulfils certain criteria of what I am looking for in a job to make me passionate about it but there are different aspects of ‘passion’ that I haven’t fulfil.
What do you love most about your job?
The ability and chance to meet and converse with owners of SMEs. Understanding why and how they do what they are doing now.
What motivates you?
Two things and they are in sequence of importance, Customer satisfaction and Money.
Have you identified your ‘life purpose’? If yes, how did you do so?
Not really. I am just hoping that I will find it along the way but for now I have to build up to a financially free lifestyle to be able to support my ‘Life Purpose’ when i find it.
What is an ideal lifestyle that you want to live? Describe it
There are two lifestyles that is ideal to me.
- The first one which is the more realistic one which is, Being financially free when i am in my mid 30s. I am not talking about being a multi-millionaire here, I am talking about being able to pay my bills on time, replacing a spoilt washing machine when necessary and just not worrying if spending my money on a certain something would affect another part of my lifestyle.
- The second lifestyle is the goal of being able to get the finer things in life, like the dream house i want, that car I always wanted. Invest in budding entrepreneurs because you believe in them and more importantly because you can.
What is the next big milestone for you in your life?
Hitting that target amount of sales I have set for myself this year and paying the downpayment to my new flat.
